Ministry for Regional Development to organise an international conference “Tourism Industry: Employment and Labour Market Challenges”.
On 10 – 11 June 2009 an international conference “Tourism Industry: Employment and Labour Market Challenges” will take place in Prague. The conference is organised by the Ministry for Regional Development as a part of the activities of the Czech EU Presidency
During this significant international event the challenges and problems relating to the current situation in the tourism industry will be addressed on a European level. These issues include the lack of skilled labour as well as little interest among the young generation in working in the service sector; this is common for all EU Member States. The conference also aims to present trends and possible developments in the area of creation of new jobs in the European labour market in the tourism industry and the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses operating in this field.
The conference will be interpreted into 5 languages: English, German, French, Spanish and Greek.
