EU and China sign cooperation agreement on precursors

Today Czech Ambassador to the European Union Milena Vicenová signed an agreement on behalf of the EU with the People’s Republic of China on cooperation in the area of precursors

Precursors are substances which may be misused to manufacture narcotic and psychotropic drugs. China is one of the world’s largest producers of precursors that are the basis of synthetic drugs. The talks leading to this agreement started in September 2006. The agreement will help reinforce the monitoring of the movements of precursors.
