Meeting of European Waste Directors
The Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic would like to invite media representatives to a short briefing after the meeting of European Waste Directors. The briefing will take place on Monday, 16 February from 14:15 in the Diplomat Hotel Prague, Evropská 15, Prague 6.
The meeting of Waste Directors of the Ministries of the Environment of the EU Member States is organised by the Czech EU Presidency. It will take place in the Diplomat Hotel Prague on 16 February 2009. The meeting will be led by Veronika Hunt Šafránková, Director of the EU Department, Ministry of the Environment. At the briefing Veronika Hunt Šafránková and Zdeňka Bubeníková, Director of Waste Management, Ministry of the Environment, will present the findings from the meeting to the media.
The subject of the meeting will be the downturn of recycling markets in individual EU Member States and proposed solutions. The conclusions of this meeting will serve as the basis for EU Council discussions on the environment that will take place on 2 March in Brussels.
