The Ministerial Conference “eHealth for Individuals, Society and Economy” took place on 18 – 20 February at the Ambassador Hotel. It was already the seventh annual conference organised by the presiding EU country and the European Commission with the aim to share knowledge and experience with the information technologies application for European healthcare. This year conference– in accordance with its title – focused on three main themes, i.e. individuals (patients and healthcare providers), society (deployment of eHealth solutions, standardisation and contribution of eHealth to the transformation of healthcare systems), and the economy (financial sustainability of the healthcare, business models, and funding opportunities for eHealth applications).
