Information:
The meeting will address the EU – Turkey relations, Turkey’s progress in the accession negotiations with the EU, energy security and other topical regional and international issues – Middle East peace process, South Caucasus, Pakistan and India.
The meeting will be attended by President of the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council Karel Schwarzenberg and Member of the European Commission Responsible for Enlargement Olli Rehn. The Turkish delegation will be headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Babacan. Turkish State Minister for European Affairs and Chief Negotiator with the EU Egeman Bağiş will also take part in the meeting. Carl Bildt, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, the next country to hold the Presidency, also agreed to participate.
