Mirek Topolánek on three-day visit to the Caspian Region
Czech Prime Minister and President of the European Council Mirek Topolánek today met with the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbajev, and Prime Minster Karim Masimov as part of his trip to three countries in the Caspian Region.
The subject of the meeting was strengthening mutual trade relations and investments, e.g. in building up infrastructure, and cooperation concerning energy supplies to the EU.
Kazakhstan is a major distributor of especially gas and oil.
In the afternoon Mirek Topolánek left Kazakhstan for Turkmenistan.
