Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg Discusses Gaza in Egypt
In view of the developments in the Middle East, Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg decided to leave for Egypt following the EU – South Africa Troika meeting that took place in the Republic of South Africa.
Today, Schwarzenberg will meet Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit in Cairo.
The ministers will talk about current developments and the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
This is already for the second time in the past two weeks that Schwarzenberg has visited this region. On 4-6 January, the Czech Foreign Minister led an EU Troika delegation that talked to representatives of Egypt, Israel, Palestinian National Authority and Jordan.
