Mirek Topolánek Talked to Vladimir Putin about Resumption of Gas Supplies
Russian Prime Minister Putin reassured the Czech Prime Minister and President of the EU Council, Topolánek, that Russia is ready to resume gas supplies via Ukraine to the EU once the European Commission monitoring group starts working.
Speaking on the phone, Mirek Toplánek thanked Vladimir Putin for his personal approach and cooperation in solving the crisis and discussed with him economic issues related to the resumption of transit.
Both Prime Ministers agreed that they were ready to resume negotiations if need be.
