Russia and Ukraine receive signed monitoring agreement
The Czech EU Presidency confirms that the document “Terms of reference for the monitoring of the transit of natural gas through Ukraine” was handed over by the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the European Union Jana Reinišová, on Sunday 11 January 2009 in Brussels, at 12.15, to the Head of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the European Communities Vladimir A. Chizhov, and at 13.00, to the Deputy Head of Mission of Ukraine to the European Union Vsevolod Chentsov. In the presence of a representative of the European Commission, both sides received the original, three-page document, signed by all parties, in two copies.
