On 28 April 2009, the EU Troika - US Justice and Home Affairs Ministerial Meeting will take place. The meeting will deal with issues such as the fight against terrorism, visa policy and border protection and, last but not least, one of the priorities of the Czech Presidency – child protection.

Due to the fact that it will be the first meeting of its kind after the coming into office of the new US Administration, it may provide an opportunity to begin a new phase of transatlantic relations in the area of justice and home affairs.
