High level Seminar on e-Communications: "Future Europe: Modern Communications for Everyone"

The seminar will be dedicated to modern communication technologies and their future in the light of the European regulatory framework for electronic communications and its implementation.
The seminar will consist of three panel discussions in which experts from public and private telecoms environments will participate: Fabio Colasanti, Director General of the DG for Information Society and Media, Simon Hampton, Director of European Public Policy and Government Relations at Google, Hiroyuki Hishinuma, Director for New Competition Policy, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in Japan and many more.
Issues to be discussed in panel discussions include:
- the key outcomes and impacts of the regulatory framework on the electronic communications sector in Europe
- the readiness of the new framework for the future development of the telecoms sector
- opportunities to make use of the review to improve our daily lives
- possible steps to achieve efficient implementation of the new framework
- comparison between different regulatory approaches and benefits in an international perspective
