European “tour des capitales” of the Czech Presidency continues in Romania and Hungary

Minister for European Affairs Štefan Füle will visit Romania and Hungary on Friday 5 June 2009 within the context of the preparations for the European Council.

During his visit the Minister will meet with Romanian Foreign Minister Cristian Diaconescu; in Hungary, he will meet with State Secretary for European Affairs Iván Gábor and Foreign Minister Péter Balázs. The topics of the meeting will include primarily the preparation for the European Council on 18 and 19 June 2009 in Brussels, i.e. particularly economic and financial issues – including an assessment of the Recovery Plan - institutional issues and issues relating to climate change.
