Presidency briefing on the final Agriculture and Fisheries Council chaired by Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic Jakub Šebesta
at which the Presidency will seek the adoption of final documents on four priority areas:
- the Common Agricultural Policy and direct payments after 2013,
- food and agricultural product quality policy,
- areas with natural handicaps and
- aquaculture. In addition, the Ministers will discuss the proposal for new legislation to improve animal welfare and protection, plant-protection products, the issue of “novel foods” and other topics.
The briefing will take place on 19 June on the premises of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in room No. 24, “Kinosál” (Cinema) at 9:30 and will be attended by Minister Jakub Šebesta and First Deputy Minister Ivo Hlaváč.
