Press conference on the occasion of the Ministerial Troika EU – Ukraine for Justice and Home Affairs to be held on 3 June 2009
On 3 June 2009, Luxembourg will host the Troika meeting of Justice and Interior Ministers of the European Union and Ukraine.
The European Union will be represented by Czech Minister of Justice Daniela Kovářová, Czech Minister of the Interior Martin Pecina, the Director-General of Justice, Freedom and Security of the European Commission Jonathan Faull and representatives of Eurojust and Frontex. The meeting will also be attended by representatives of Sweden, which will take over the EU Presidency from the Czech Republic. The Ukrainian delegation will be led by Minister of Justice Mykola Onischuk and Deputy Minister of Interior Vasyl Marmazov.
Topics for discussion at the meeting will include, among others, corruption combating, organized crime combating (such as drugs, trafficking in human beings, money laundering), migration and asylum or visa policy.
The Press conference with the participation of Minister of Justice Daniela Kovářová, Minister of the Interior Martin Pecina, Ukrainian Minister of Justice Mykola Onischuk and Deputy Minister of Interior Vasyl Marmazov will take place on 3 June at 6pm.
