EU - Nigeria Ministerial Meeting (Troika)

The meeting will be attended by GAERC President, Deputy Prime Minister and Czech Foreign Minister Jan Kohout and, representing the European Commission, Director General for Development and Relations with African, Caribbean and Pacific Countries Stefano Manservisi. The Nigerian delegation will be headed by Foreign Minister Ojo Maduekwe. Sweden will be represented by State Secretary to the Minister for Trade Gunnar Wieslander.
During the meeting the issues of relations between the EU and Nigeria, energy security, impacts of the economic crisis and regional integration will be addressed. Security issues and the political situation in the countries of sub-Saharan Africa (Mauritania, Guinea, Chad/Sudan, Gulf of Guinea/Niger Delta) and security in West Africa will also be discussed.
