EU - China Summit (Troika)

The President of the Czech Republic, Václav Klaus, will chair the Summit “European Union – People's Republic of China” on 20 May 2009.
The Summit will be held in the framework of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The President of the Czech Republic along with European Commission President José Barroso and Secretary General of the Council of the European Union Javier Solana will participate in the Summit on behalf of the European Union. The delegation of the People's Republic of China will be lead by Prime Minister Wen Jiabao. After the summit a bilateral meeting will take place between the President of the Czech Republic and the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China.

- 13:45 – meeting of the President of the CR with the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China
- 13:50 – launch of the plenary session of the summit of the EU and China
- 16:00 – briefing by the President of the CR, the Prime Minister of People’s Republic of China and the President of the EC
- 16:40 - meeting of the President of the CR with the Prime Minister of China
